HWM - ALTA Nr. 001

This book is the documentation of an extremely exciting operation lasting over two years: a perfect reconstruction of the HWM-Alta No. 001, which could then seen on the racetracks to the great delight of all those involved.

At the same time, it takes a detailed look at racing in the period after the Second World War with all its difficulties - such as the procurement of the materials required to build such a vehicle, which were rationed even in England at the time.

The history of racing car construction over the years up to the present day is not left out - especially with regard to aerodynamics. And not only in the case of competition vehicles, but also in the development of everyday vehicles over all the years of automotive history.
