Gisberto Leopardi was a young man, born and raised in Maranello, when he had the courage to stop Enzo Ferrari on the street and ask him for a job. This boldness brought him luck, leading to his initial position as an apprentice and later his role as an engine specialist in the racing division, eventually becoming responsible for assembling race engines.

Memories, experiences, and impressions that Gisberto Leopardi kept to himself until he turned 93, all carried with the passion and energy of his youth.

At that point, he decided to share what the atmosphere was like inside what would become the most famous car factory in the world and how it evolved in its early decades.

He also reflected on how Maranello’s life changed with Ferrari’s arrival, and the significant role that presence played in transforming an isolated agricultural village into an important industrial center, as well as a ‘sanctuary’ for enthusiasts.
