Chiti 100

Chiti 100 is published in memory of Carlo Chiti on the occasion of his 100th birthday. The large-format volume describes the personal and sporting life of the Tuscan technician, who is remembered by motorsport fans as an important protagonist at Alfa Romeo at the beginning of his long career, then at Scuderia Ferrari, ATS, Autodelta, again for a long time at Alfa and later at Motori Moderni, Minardi, Subaru and Montecarlo Automobile. Author Danilo Castellarin remembers this personality by tracing his life and that of those who lived alongside him, such as his children Olga and Arturo, and those who worked with him. Chiti's blunt and polemical manner, which he took from the chronicles of his time, is also described. A loose tongue but a big heart: Chiti was the only one to install a safe petrol tank because he couldn't bear to see drivers die. In 1961, he left the prestigious post of technical director at Ferrari in solidarity with the ‘Rebel Angels’, the Cavallino managers who demanded more respect for Enzo.
