24 Stunden Nürburgring Nordschleife 2023

What a race! The 2023 edition of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring once again delivered an emotional rollercoaster that can only be found at this endurance racing classic, which is held at the world’s longest and most beautiful circuit. Following the front-row lockout for Mercedes, courtesy of Bilstein and GetSpeed, the race was won by Frikadelli-Racing with its new-for-2023 Ferrari 296 GT3 that immediately found success at the first attempt.

The Frikadelli team was made to fight for this first win through the closing stages of the race as the chasing ROWE BMW, and GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG that had started on the front row, kept up the pressure to the end. It was no surprise, therefore, that the 235,000 spectators witnessed the fastest Nürburgring 24h race in history. The winners racked up 162 laps, or 4,035.102 kilometres of flat-out racing. Of course, it was not just the spectacular battle for the overall win that was thrilling. There were story lines through the field, such as the recovery drive of the second-placed BMW, or the fact that a rival team used Frikadelli’s workshop to repair its heavily-damaged Mercedes-AMG after Top Qualifying. Of course, the stories also include the battles for top honours in the 20 classes. After all, high-quality competition is not limited to the front of the field in this 24h race.

This year, 132 cars competed in the 24h race and each have their stories told in this book. Not only that, but from the Adenauer Racing Day to the spraying of champagne by the winners, the entire event is covered, including 24h Classic, the Cup- und Tourenwagen Trophy, RCN and the Tourenwagen Legenden. An extensive section of statistics and results has been included as well, making the yearbook to an excellent reference work and a book to enjoy for everyone with a passion for the “Green Hell”.
